Review: Peaches and Scream

Peaches and Scream Peaches and Scream by Susan Furlong
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this cozy murder mystery. I read the first chapter and become a fan of Susan Furlong.

Her descriptive writing style with it down home feeling will pull you right into the story.

"Heading down the road out of town plunged me into the orchard area, where the sullenness of the weathered town stood in shape contrast to the peach trees, standing row on row, like study soldiers, their green uniforms shining in the Georgia sun, holding guard over this community. Even the late August sun couldn't extinguish the bristling green of the leaves, whispering their welcome to me in the light breeze."

Susan has developed such a warm and wonderful town along with lovable characters, you will not be able to put the book down. But it also has nasty characters to. I didn't know til the end "who done it"

This is the first in the series, the next two being Rest In Peach and War and Peach. All three come with recipes. I want to read them all.

Review: Sealed with a Kiss

Sealed with a Kiss Sealed with a Kiss by Janet Tronstad
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sealed with a kiss

From the old west to present times, this is wonderful collection of
short love stories, by four different authors and four different types
of story lines. Great read.

1. Mail Order Sunshine Bride by Janet Tronstad
Nellie headed west in the late winter 1886 for a new life in the
Montana Territory as a mail order bride taking her young son Danny
with her. But her husband to be had played poker and lost
her in a bet and the sheriff wants to take her to jail! Now
what is going to happen to her.

I loved the wonderfully developed characters in this story
and the amazing story line. Great read.

2. Deadly Intent Margaret Daley
Someone wants to put Ian out of business, they poisoned his dog,
then steal his prize horse, 5 head of cattle are dead, and they
poisoned the water hole. Someone set his barn on fire. And it just
keeps getting worse. As a former police officer Ian has along of
people that want to hurt him and want him dead.
Then into his life walks Texas Ranger Sarah Osborn once the love
of his life and someone has taken Sarah hostage.
Lots of suspense and action, great characters, I loved it.

3. Unshakeable Pursuit Camy Tang

A young girl shows up at the Childrens Free clinic and wants Drs.
Maylin Kinley and Geoffrey Whelan to disappear before they are hurt
or killed. Then fake two FBI agents show up, and tries to kidnap them.
Now the fake agents are after them, can Geoffrey save them and still
win the heart of the only woman he has ever loved? Then they kidnap
Maylin!

Lots of suspense, mixed with fires, gun shots, ice bombs, tear gas,
martial arts, and more guns makes this book a great read with tons of
action.

4. With Love, Cowboy C Lacy Williams
Since Ashley joined the military, and worked with Atlas, her dog,
her missions were discovering explosive devices, but she never planned
on losing a arm when the bomb went off ending her and Atlas's careers.

Now back home in Oklahoma, she faces an uphill battle with her
mom's heart attack and her dad forgetting to many things, she now
must to learn how to do things for herself. And face the boy with his
puppy love for her who now has grown into a man.

This story has the best ending I've read in a long time. Loved the
characters, story line, every thing.

Review: First Kisses

First Kisses First Kisses by Linda Goodnight
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First Kisses
Six Stories of first kisses, by six different authors, each one in its own right entertaining and delightful.

The Rambler's Bride Copyright © 2014 Linda Goodnight.
Full of action and suspense, keeps you guessing right to the end. I have read books by Ms. Goodnight before, and she never disappoints you. Great read.

Lovebirds at the Heartbreak Café Copyright © 2014 Janet Tronstad
Janet Tronstad is one of my favorite authors, so I try to read anything she writes, and I really enjoyed this one, if you have ever been alone in your life, you will really enjoy this one, filled with promises and love.

Her Mule Hollow Cowboy Copyright © 2014 Debra Clopton Parks
This author is new to me, but the book is really good, and kept me reading until the end. The details Ms. Parks used pulls you right into the story, great read, lots of action. I would like to read more by her.

Deadly Hunt Copyright © 2014 Margaret Daley
Another author that I like to read her books. This book grabbed me from the start, a woman alone in the desert, and a man banging on her door, bloody, and dirty, fainting at her feet, and it just kept getting better and better, lots of action. This author is always a must read.

Necessary Proof Copyright © 2014 Camy Tang
Good interesting and lively characters, fast paced plot and a great read. I have read books by Ms. Tang before and she is a great author.

Kissed by a Cowboy Copyright © 2014 Lacy Williams
This author is also new to me, but this book was so good I wanted to reach into the story and shake the two main characters and shout “wake up you two love each other”. Lol, great read, Lacy pulls you right into the story, loved it and also would like to read more by her.
