Porter Family #1

Undeniably Yours

Rate this book
When Meg Cole’s father dies unexpectedly, she becomes the majority shareholder of his oil company and the single inheritor of his fortune. Though Meg is soft-spoken and tenderhearted–more interested in art than in oil–she’s forced to return home to Texas and to Whispering Creek Ranch to take up the reins of her father’s empire.
The last thing she has the patience or the sanity to deal with? Her father’s thoroughbred racehorse farm. She gives its manager, Bo Porter, six months to close the place down.
Bo’s determined to resent the woman who’s decided to rob him of his dream. But instead of anger, Meg evokes within him a profound desire to protect. The more time he spends with her, the more he longs to overcome every obstacle that separates them–her wealth, his unworthiness, her family’s outrage–and earn the right to love her.
But just when Meg begins to realize that Bo might be the one thing on the ranch worth keeping, their fragile bond is viciously broken by a force from Meg’s past. Can their love–and their belief that God can work through every circumstance–survive?

I’ll admit, I’ve harbored some guilt over my review of Becky Wade’s first novel, My Stubborn Heart. I only gave it four stars. Don’t get me wrong. I loved it from start to finish. It’s one of the few books I have read multiple times. And yet… I wanted more.

With Becky’s sophomore release, Undeniably Yours, I got it. This story gave me everything I loved in the first book, just MORE: more authenticity, more plot, more danger, more humor, more romantic tension. I fell in love with both Meg and Bo from their first moments on the page and raced to the finish for their happily ever after... Just so I could pick it up the next day and do it all over again.

There are few writers who can keep me on the edge of my seat and make me forsake all grown-up responsibilities in order to finish a book, let alone make me giggle like a mad fool while I’m reading, but Becky does both. If you’re looking for a sweet and saucy yet clean read with unforgettable characters, check this one out. Highly recommended.

For a long time now I've been meaning to read Becky Wade's Porter Family series. Well, I've finally started it.

Undeniably Yours, book one in the quartet (the last of which releases in May 2016), features heiress Meg Cole, who must decide what to do with her deceased father's overwhelming estate, and Bo Porter, the former military man willing to fight to keep the Cole horse ranch open. When Meg's past races back into her life, will Bo be able to save her before she's lost to him for good?

The opening line of this book grabbed me right away: "She was too softhearted to be an oil tycoon." My first question was "Would she become tough enough to handle it?" That was quickly followed by "Does she want to?" The journey she took in the pages of Undeniably Yours answered both those questions and so much more. Meg grew on me by the end of the second chapter, and I enjoyed seeing her transformation from a meek, anxiety-filled woman to a lady who can handle her own in tense situations. I've been in those shoes, so it was easy for me to empathize with her and root her on.

And then there's Bo Porter. I won't even try to tell you how great this cowboy was. You'll just have to read it for yourself to fully appreciate his character. I've always liked cowboys, and this book was such a fun read to get lost in for a couple of hours each day.

A couple of things I disliked: one character slept around, there was gambling and drinking, and one scene took place in a bar. Due to those things, I cannot recommend Undeniably Yours for anyone under the age of twenty-one.

However, I did find the story sweet and memorable, with characters that touched my heart. This book is certain to bless its readers. I can't wait to read the rest of this series!

I loved Becky Wade's first book, My Stubborn Heart. I thought, "Now here's an author I want to read more of." I wasn't disappointed in this book. It just blew me away. For real.

Meg Cole's father has died and left her in control of Cole Oil. Immensely wealthy, Meg is desperately unhappy, suffering panic attacks frequently. She decides to close the horse farm her father started and calls in the farm manager, Bo Porter, to give him the unhappy news. Bo convinces her to give the farm 6 months to produce before closing. Meg reluctantly agrees.

Meg has endured a divorce that left her broken inside, but she is a strong believer, trusting God to take her through every difficulty. She hates Cole Oil, doesn't want to work there, but doesn't know what to do about it. She begins to trust God for this and He does give her answers.

Can Meg trust Bo? Will he be after her money? There are many questions in this book and Becky WAde answers them all and answers them well.

This book ministered to me on many levels. There are, I believe, several allegories here. First of all, what I love most about Wade's writing is that she gives a large portion of her writing to the goodness and faithfulness of God. This is not just a swear free, sex free 'nice' book. This is true Christian fiction, giving God first place, which He deserves.

There is romance and what a romance. I've never felt the depth of love in a book the way I did here between Meg and Bo. And it wasn't dirty. You CAN find that in a book. I applaud Becky Wade for this if nothing else. But she writes so strongly of God's love and faithfulness, how He provides strength through others when we need it.

This was an amazing book and one I'll be proud to display on my book shelves. I wish she'd write faster. This is not a book you can finish, put down, and immediately pick up another book to read. No, you want to dwell on it, savor it and think of it long after you close the pages.

If you do not read this book, you will miss out on an experience that you'll never forget.

August 21, 2019 I have just finished a reread of this book. I loved it even more this time around, Bo Porter stole my heart completely. No woman in the world would not want to be loved like Bo loves Meg. He is all in, all the time, no holding back. Bo Porter is most likely the best romantic hero ever.

Younger readers might not want to read this review.

I have heard so much good about Becky Wade I was very excited to start reading one of her books. When I started reading, I saw why others raved about her. She is a strong writer, great characters that have real issues but are so likable, and her plots are also strong. Sadly, the message of the book ruined those things for me.

It started out fine, but the romance quickly ramped up and felt out of control. I have no issue with a few kisses (because even though that isn't how I want my romance to go, I know that the Bible doesn't say we have to save kisses for marriage) but they were kissing all the time and not just sweet kisses, but very sexy ones.

However, my biggest complaint is that the two main characters, who at the beginning of the book were relying on God, started relying on each other and only mentioned God. They were so blatant in their lust, and so obsessed with each other that it made me sick. It would have been almost okay if they had realized there wrong, but they rejoiced in it.

I still am giving this book three stars because Wade has so much talent. and I did read the book almost to the end because of that talent. I only wish the message had been as well done as the writing.

This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Megan Cole and Bo Porter could not be more different from each other. She is a rich, wealthy heiress of a big fortune and he is a simple farm manager and her employee who has nothing in common with her. And yet, as soon as they meet, the chemistry between them is undeniably. Since her father’s death, Meg has become the majority shareholder of his oil company and has started to fire several people who worked for him, only because she cannot afford to have too many employees. However, things are a little different with Bo and so she gives him six months before shutting down the farm. Will that be enough time to prove her the value of the place and that he is worth her trust?

This book had the same effect on me as Bo had on Meg: relaxing! I had a great, relaxing time reading it. Every time I picked it up I knew I was going to spend minutes (ahem... hours) of blissful peace. That was a positive thing because I always like this kind of books. Although there are angst, struggle, problems to face, in the end there is always a happy ending for everyone. That is so reassuring!

As I often say, it is very hard to find a good man nowadays, especially if you are a single woman with trust issues like Meg, but Bo Porter made me think that somewhere (definitely far from me) there might be someone worth the wait, for whom you might be willing to do the impossible, and that is such a beautiful and powerful hope that you cannot ignore. It must be kept in your heart and be shielded from the bad things that happen every day, because hope is what gives you strength and joy to face failures and disappointments. Meg had Bo and that was wonderful. He was her guardian angel and her hope for a great future. When I was reading I thought that things were happening too fast between them, after few chapters they already had feelings for each other (though they did not declare their love for one another immediately), and I thought it was weird, they barely knew each other. But then I understood their need to rely on someone trustworthy and most of all, I saw their pure hearts that simply met. It was lovely to witness their love so tender and strong.

The minor characters added something more to my enjoyment of this novel. Bo’s family completely won me over and I am so looking forward to the second book of this series! But most of all, I will be eagerly waiting for Jake’s own story, one of Bo’s brothers, whom I found thoroughly fascinating, I think his own story might be very interesting to develop.

The only thing I had some quibbles about was the ending. I liked it, but there were a couple of chapters that, despite being totally absorbing, reminded me of an action movie. Not that it was bad, but I felt it was a little too much given how the rest of the story had been relaxing and very sweet. Also, being this a Christian novel, there were some references to the Scripture and prayers to ask God’s help and guidance, but I would not consider it preachy.

Lastly, let me say a silly thing. I have to, so please forgive my moment of frivolity. Bo Porter is a former Marine turned into a cowboy... do I need to add anything more? Just. Read. This. Book! I highly recommend it.

Undeniably Yours told a cute story. It has some fun parts, some silly parts, some suspenseful parts. But I also had quite a few issues with it, unfortunately.

For one, the main characters didn’t exactly seem to pray and wait on God as for their romance. (This also seemed to happen in My Stubborn Heart I believe). Megan had a relationship with God, but Bo’s spiritual life was almost non-existent until the more end of the book. Instead of going to God like Megan did, Bo got angry and thought really violent thoughts. That really bothered me. It almost felt like Bo had to be the big tough guy, so OBVIOUSLY he couldn’t cry out to God. I don’t know, maybe that wasn’t Becky Wade’s intention. I, personally, believe the strongest men are the ones who know they need God.

Anyway, one of my biggest concerns was the “he’s so sexy” “what a hot outfit she has on” kind of attitude. Megan, I could clearly see, did not dress very modestly. It bothered me that Bo just kind of took advantage of it, “oh she looks hot”… that’s not protecting a woman’s purity. Why would Megan want to wear her tightest jeans to a dance?? For crying out loud, cover up and protect your body! It’s a treasure, and not for men who aren’t your husband.

I don’t know. Undeniably Yours had some really profound spiritual parts. The end especially. I really appreciated those. But overall, this book just felt like a really edgy Christian romance for me. I don’t like the immodest dress, overmuch kissing, and “oh my, so sexy!” thoughts. Let God write your romance, and keep it pure. Some things are meant just for marriage.

So just not my type of book. As I mentioned, Megan had that relationship with Christ, and went on a really wonderful spiritual journey! But then there were the iffy things… If you don’t mind those, Undeniably Yours will be probably be a cute romance, with some deeply spiritual parts, for you.

Becky Wade never disappoints with the stories she creates and the characters she brings to life. This book was a quick read (I got sidetracked with obligations which is why it took me as long as I did). I really loved the realness of Meg,
The female main character… she’s not some picture perfect person, she has flaws and battles she goes through everyday whilst trusting God and serving Him. The love story was so swoon worthy too. Enjoyed this!

This one's a little difficult for me to rate. The story itself was right up there on 4.5 for characters and enjoyment. But there were little things... The prose was not particularly brilliant, thus the lack of a full five stars, and the writing focused on what felt like a very encapsulated view of just the present. There were places where I'd have loved to have gone much deeper into a flashback or a scene, and places where the action skipped forward almost jarringly into the future...leaving me with a dizzied sense of, "and how many days later was this?"

Also, there were a few niggles of doubt about the theology. Nothing that I could say, "Hey, that's error!", but spots of, "What does she mean by this and does she realize what ramifications there could be?" The one spot I was most disturbed by was by Meg's feeling guilt over her divorce and then the jump on the next page to her "taking all her feelings to God and asking for forgiveness." a) was the forgiveness because she felt that she had sinned by receiving a divorce from a scoundrel? Or b) was it meant that if she felt bad all she had to do was boiler-plate "ask to be forgiven and everything is perfect again"? Either way there are biblical issues, one for her repenting for something that wasn't her sin, or for her saying "forgive me" without having a reason and a hope for change from the thing she'd been forgiven for. I'm hoping the author's expression of her beliefs improves with later books.

I also had difficulty with some of the desires of the characters toward each other. Feeling deeply attracted to someone is not wondering how good they'd be in bed, especially if you haven't expressed any sort of love for each other. It's wrong for any woman to let herself wonder about such things with single males of her acquaintance! It objectifies relationships and brings the flesh way too much to the forefront. You can have a real, deep, meaningful attraction for the opposite sex without thinking about their personals, or even their so-called "hotness". As romance goes, this book is pretty mild, but it went just a step too far for me.

All that said, I loved the rest. The characters were vivid and jumped off the page, and I loved how Meg wanted to find God's calling for her life and also how she sought God's will for the thoroughbred farm apart from her personal wants because of the blossoming romance with the director of it. And I really enjoyed the twist at the end with the hacker.

Overall, a sweet romance with strong characters and a good storyline.

I like Becky Wade because her style is kind of fun and she writes good messages. In this one, both the main characters have relationships with God and actively seek to follow Him. It's not always smooth sailing, but I liked that both of them cared and sought to do what's right and prayed about things.
I liked how the girl realized how God used people as His hands and feet in her life and knew to recognize God, not the person, as the Giver.
But this one wasn't my favorite of Becky's books. I don't doubt that there are people on the planet who experience insta love but I didn't, and it feels pretty unbelievably to read about a stranger so strongly affecting someone. The MCs got pretty obsessed pretty fast but that doesn't mean they acted on it and I was pleasantly surprised by how long they were able to hold back and give the relationship time to grow, considering how infatuated they apparently were.
But I really do hate when someone who's in love can so quickly and easily think the worst of the person they're in love with and refuse to believe when the person tries to tell them the truth. Just ugh. It's not classy and it's not love. It's actually horrible and I kind of hate it in books. Don't do this, ladies.
For an escape read though, this one had good truths to go with it.

I must have been in the mood for a sweet, uplifting, romantic story featuring a hunky cowboy because Undeniably Yours kept me turning those pages and lamenting the days that I didn’t have a lot of time to read. Sometimes the plot in romance-based stories can drag for me or be very predictable, but that wasn’t the case here. Everything flowed together perfectly. Since I was expecting more of a fun, fluffy romance, Meg’s healing journey and a suspenseful sub-plot definitely spice things up a notch.

I loved the realness of the characters. I don’t know how many times Meg’s thoughts felt like that of a best friend or my very thoughts that I have had on many occasions – some were serious, some were humorous, but everything was genuine. I seriously wanted to know this girl and really connected to her desire for a simple yet meaningful life and the struggle she felt in choosing between her legacy in the oil business or choosing her own path.

I fell in love with Bo’s character along with Meg throughout the story. He is my favorite kind of male lead for contemporary stories – an honest-to-goodness sweetheart, but still manly, and not at all cheesy. I get bored with the deeply-flawed, tragic hero, and while Bo had seen his share of tragedy, he didn’t carry a chip on his shoulder because of it. He was steady and grounded, and though he and Meg came from different worlds, they were the perfect complement for one another.

Other than the romance, my favorite part was watching Meg realize what her dreams are and that it’s okay that it didn’t line up with the legacy chosen for her. The supporting characters were each unique and added great layers to the story.

It’s not often that I enjoy a contemporary story as much as I did this one. Becky Wade now joins Jenny B. Jones, Meg Moseley and Carla Laureano on the short list of Christian contemporary authors whose novels get my attention just because of their name on the cover. I will be tracking down a copy of My Stubborn Heart as soon as possible.

I started the Porter Family series with the second book, Meant to be Mine, and I've been meaning to get back and read Bo and Meg's story. It totally confirmed why Becky Wade is one of my favorite contemporary fiction authors! The characters are flawed enough to be realistic and relate-able without making them unlikable. I particularly connected with Meg and her issues with anxiety. I loved how she uses coping techniques to manage her overwhelming feelings and searches for a way to come to terms with her circumstances. Even though she was raised in an environment of wealth and is the heiress of a huge fortune, her struggles show that everyone has difficulties, no matter what their station in life. Bo's protectiveness of her is pretty awesome. The way their friendship developed naturally from heartfelt conversations gave their eventual romance a foundation that was tested by the conflict that emerged from Meg's past. There are scenes that hint to the reader what is to come, which amped up the tension instead of diffusing it. It made me want to read all the books in the series again before finishing with the newest one which releases in the beginning of May 2016.

(I won a copy of this book in a giveaway from the author; this is my honest review)

Okay, can I just say Undeniably Yours has one of the cutest covers EVER?

And the story inside lives up to the cover. Meg captured my heart from the beginning and Bo is as swoon-worthy as they come. But most of all, I appreciate Becky Wade's ability to tap into emotion and pull me into the head and heart of her characters. I definitely recommend Undeniably Yours and can't wait for this author's next book!

I'm in love with the Potter series. The first book is about Meg, a run a wealthy oil business, and Bo a horse barn Manager. Both in love but having trouble coming together because of their own background. Letting Christ taking control and even having things going terribly wrong they fight thru what other people think and fall in love. Ups and down, good and bad giving Christ control over the situation thing will go in the right direction!

{My Review}

Undeniably Yours is my first Becky Wade novel and most certaintly will not be my last. In fact, by the time you read this review I'll probably have already read Meant to Be Mine, book #2 in the Porter Family series. Undeniably Yours is Meg Cole and Bo Porter's love story and what a story it was. I started the story around eleven at night and I could not put it down. I believe I finished at almost two thirty in the morning.

The story begins with Meg Cole taking over her father's share of an oil business, which she really has no interest in being in the first place. She has already fired some employees, but she is about or supposed to fire Mr. Bo Porter, who works on her father's horse farm. The thing is she doesn't fire him, he some how convinces her to keep the farm open long enough to try to break even. However, he only has six months to do so and either way she plans to shut down the farm. And being that this is a romance novel of course you can expect to see some romantic times and they are good times. Meg's character kind of got on my nerves a few times, but mostly due to her bad decision making. And Bo, oh Bo is my favourite character in this book. The way he protected Meg when they went country western dancing, just the way he treated her was so heart warming and oh so swoon worthy. Anybody who knows me knows I have a thing for hot cowboys and Bo fit the bill.

Pick up this book you won't regret it...trust me.

After inheriting a vast fortune from her father, Meg Cole debates on whether or not to maintain the expensive thoroughbred horse farm in the overall portfolio of Whispering Creek Ranch. After meeting its manager, however, Meg compromises; Bo Porter has six months to turn a profit, otherwise the horses will be sold and the employees relieved of their position. Hesitant to trust his handsome face and calm demeanor, she reluctantly begins to trust Bo's judgement, reminding herself that she has been wrong before when it came to men.

Bo Porter never expected to have tender feelings towards the woman who holds his future in her hands. His urge to protect Meg nearly overwhelms him and he fears their growing friendship will become a serious liability; they come from two different worlds. When it seems that Meg might trust him, a cruel series of events from Meg's past threatens to destroy them. How can "all things work together for good" for Bo and Meg?

An amazing contemporary Christian romance from begining to end!

I read Becky Wade's debut novel ages ago, before I was really into contemporary romances. I was more of a Historical/Amish reader back then, but I did fall in love with My Stubborn Heart. I've become more of a contemporary fan in the last couple of years, but mostly mainstream romances. I few friends have recommended Becky's books so I thought I'd give her another shot and see what the Christian market has to offer, and if anything could live up to Kristan Higgins or Robyn Carr (two of my current favourite authors).

Although I don't particularly enjoy reading about excessively rich characters, Becky deals with Meg's wealth well, showing that it's actually a hindrance more than a blessing (basically the opposite of some of the glorification of wealth I've come across in other Christian novels). The repetitiveness of her insecurities did bug me at times, but I appreciated the realistic representation of someone with an anxiety disorder. Her struggles made sense, given her back story.

Her relationship with Bo developed very quickly, as other readers have noted, maybe even a little too quickly? I did appreciate that Becky showed the strong attraction and chemistry between Bo and Meg. They're grown adults. It's unrealistic to have two adults date each other and not touch or kiss. Christians don't have a switch that suddenly flicks when they get married and turns them into sexual beings. Becky Wade definitely does sexual tension and attraction well, without being overly descriptive.

I really enjoyed reading about Meg figuring out her destiny in relation to her family's legacy, and how she could use her wealth to help others. Her relationship with the staff on the ranch was really endearing, and I loved seeing her interact with Amber and Jayden. In spite of her anxieties, she has a big heart, and tries to overcome her own fears in order to help others. A great example of how being hurt doesn't prevent you from moving forward, and lending a hand to others who have had similar experiences. Also, having a 1.5 year old myself, I have to say that Jayden was perfectly written! I've come across a lot of unrealistic toddlers and babies in fiction, but Jayden was spot on--especially in the babysitting scene!

I'm still not sure how I felt about the scenes from the point of view of the villain. There weren't many of them, and as such, he felt a bit stereotypically evil, since we didn't spend all that much time inside his head. I'm not entirely sure how necessary they were to the plot? I feel a bit torn on this subject. I do wonder if Meg's issues with her ex could have been resolved differently, without needing Bo to physically rescue her. There was this whole "Argh, we're strong masculine men with guns and we will protect our women!" vibe at the end from Bo and his brother and honestly, it didn't work for me. But then again, I am British. Plus, I prefer Beta heroes in my romances. Bo was just gentle enough to let me put the gun thing aside.

Based on the two novels I've read, the spiritual side of Becky's novels is pretty full-on. A little bit too full-on for me. I liked the way that Becky invited God to help her with her anxiety. Those parts were fantastic! But towards the end there were a lot of "And then God gave him/her a revelation" moments, so many so that it felt a little bit cheesy. Honestly, I feel like there was a weird combination of a lot of sexual tension and a lot of in-your-face spirituality in this book. Personally, I think that the people who appreciated the flawed aspects of the characters and their human attraction might be off-put by the slight cheesiness of the spirituality, whereas those who want more spiritual stuff wouldn't appreciate reading about characters making out. I could be wrong, though! Maybe there is a perfect target market for this book.

Goodness, I ramble a lot when my toddler is napping. Ultimately, I did really like this book. Not my favourite contemporary romance, and I probably liked her debut novel more. The hero and heroine in this novel are fantastic, and there's a great set-up for future novels. Given how cheap the next two books in the series are on Kindle, I'm probably going to give them a shot. I feel like some parts of this book could have been toned down or improved, but this is Becky's second novel, so I'm looking forward to seeing how her writing develops. All in all, an easy romance with relatable characters. 3.5*

This is an undeniably sweet story. The story was incredibly written. I loved everything about it from the horse ranch to the big house to the office in Dallas. This book had me turning pages late into the night to finish and when it ended, I was happy and sad at the same time. I was happy because it ended on a happy note and sad because it was over. This was such a sweet read. I enjoy how all of Becky Wade's characters are so unique and different with every book I read. I'm always captivated by the men's devotion and love for their women in Becky Wade's stories. So sweet. I really like the spiritual element too, especially portrayed in Meg, she really leaned on the Lord a lot as she dealt with her emotions revolving around her past. I highlighted a lot because her character was very relatable to me.

The cover should have been my first clue that this book is not just your average Christian romance. It's also fun! I was so surprised by author Becky Wade's writing style (in a good way) because it was so realistic. The thoughts and actions of both Meg, the reluctant heiress to an oil company, and Bo, the hubba-hubba cowboy, are believable and sometimes, laugh out loud funny.

(Disclaimer: I received an electronic copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.)

In the opening scene, Meg is in the process of firing people her father needed to run his company and his life, including Bo, the man who runs the horse ranch on her property. Meg has no interest in horses and has been advised to shut down the farm, fire its workers and sell the horses. But she has a soft spot for people, and when Bo disagrees with her plan and asks for time to turn the ranch around, Meg gives him six months. Bo considers it a personal challenge to not only turn a profit at the horse farm but convince Meg that the farm is worth saving.

That becomes both easier and more difficult as Bo finds himself attracted to Meg in ways he considers in appropriate because of her position as his employer while Meg finds comfort from panic attacks in the presence of Bo and the horses.

It's a fun dance between the two as they're obviously attracted to each other but both wanting to maintain professional distance. Throw in a shady character from Meg's past who threatens to destroy everything and you've got yourself a classic romance the keeps you turning the pages.

Sometimes I think Christian novels in the romance genre are too safe in that they don't acknowledge the reality of physical attraction between characters or the goofball thoughts that people have. I connected with Wade's characters and I'm almost kicking myself for not grabbing a copy of her first book, My Stubborn Heart. (You can bet I'll be changing that!)

A Real Page Turner!

If a book deserves more than 5 stars, this is the one. Becky Wade is now on my list of must read authors. This is the first book that I have read of hers and it definitely will not be the last.

How do you take a wealthy woman and a lowly ranch manager and pair them together in a romance that one will not forget? I'm here to tell you that the author did just that.

As we follow Meg Cole's life of being thrown into a position she never expected to be in so soon and Bo Porter's life of being content and loving his job as the manager of Whispering Creek Ranch we are taken on a very wild and thrilling ride. Throw in some unexpected twists and turns and your emotions reach some highs and lows.

The author throughout this book includes the message of trusting God, leaning on God, and waiting on God. Past hurts are healed and forgiveness is needed and extended.

I can't say enough about this book. I hope that by reading this review you will want to pick up a copy. I promise, promise, that you will not be disappointed.

Thank you Becky Wade for a book I will not soon forget. I hope that you will do a follow up to this book. I need to know how my favorite characters (Bo and Meg) are doing!

I absolutely loved Meg and Bo's story! So many uncertainties about the future and what it may hold for each character in the story but mostly faced with the certainty that God will show them the way and be there for them no matter what may come . I am really looking forward to reading the rest of this series and am picking up Meant to Be Mine to start right now!

I’m not sure why it took me so long to read this book, but I liked it. I listened to the audio version. Bo Porter lives up to the hype I’ve heard about his character. I look forward to the rest of the series!

Oh cowboy! This was such a good book, It was such a exciting read I could not put it down, lol. Thank you Hannah for picking this book as my May Gem, I totally loved it.

This book was not what I expected. I thought it was going to be a cutesy love story, but it was so much more. I love Meg Cole's character I thought she was relatable, kind and funny. Oh and let me not forget Bo Porter! Lol, he was definitely a noble and compassionate. swoon worthy cowboy.
I love the scripture that was in there "And we know that all things God works for the good of those who love him and been called according to His purpose" Romans 8:28.
No matter what we experience or go through we can have confidence when we have Christ in our lives, that He will work things out for our good. No matter how bad the situation currently looks like, God promises that He will never leave nor forsake us! So we can stand on His promises because they are sure and true.
Again I enjoyed this book so much and I'm looking forward to reading more about the Porter family, Becky Wade is the best.
