First off I always have a hard time rating a contemporary romance. They are one of my favourite genres, but you had to admit they are pretty predictable. Does that mean they should at the most get 4 stars? Does a cute, predictable, romance deserve 5 stars?? Hmmm.. good question I'm still not sure myself.
I loved this book! It had me right from the first page, and if I hadn't been busy chasing after my two boys and spending time with my family, I think I would have read it cover to cover in one sitting. The banter back and forth between Ty and Celia had my laughing SO many times. I could easily see this book made into a movie. I am pretty happy I own this book, because had I not I would have definitely went out and bought it. This is a book I will want to re-read again, even though I know how the story goes.
Since I just finished the book literally 5 minutes ago, and (1) already have plans to re-read it,(2) put it on my favourites shelf, (3) I'm tempted to pre-order the next book!! (and I NEVER do that) I think for those reasons alone that yes, this contemporary romance deserves a 5 stars from me! Becky Wade has quickly become one of my favourite Christian contemporary romance authors!
Now they just need to make this into a movie and I'll be set! =)

MEANT TO BE MINE is Ms Wade's third book. I've read her first one, didn’t care for it, skipped her second one, and hearing good things about her, decided to try this one. I do LOVE contemporary romance. My very favorite genre to read.
Okay, before we go any further, a review is my opinion only. I got disturbing messages concerning my review of her first book because I commented about drinking and gambling. I was told "It is real life!" Yes, and so are a lot of other things. Doesn't mean I enjoy it. I am a conservative Christian. Not exactly a member of the KJV, dresses only crowd, but close. I understand this is real life, But it's not what I enjoy reading about. So, call me a prude.
Celia did marry Ty before they had sex but it was still very much a one-night stand. He was drunk. She was stupid. And they decided to marry because she rolled a seven on the gaming table. Seriously. Yeah, that's a recipe for a lasting marriage.
My opinion of the story line aside, Ms. Wade is a very talented writer. She has a way with words. She is an engaging writer and draws the reader in. If you aren’t put off by certain issues, then you will probably absolutely LOVE Ms. Wade's story.
The ending of the book is worth it. I want to say more but can't without spoilers, but the ending is worth it. No one is perfect. People need the Lord. And both Celia and Ty are very flawed people in need of a savior. As am I. And everyone.

With my crazy-insane schedule and homeschooling, I had no intention of reading this novel right away, even though it looked wonderful. So, I was stunned to find myself more than halfway through the novel without realizing I’d even started it. I have no idea what type of “spell” this novel cast over me, but I finished it in a 5-hour reading stint. For me, that’s extremely rare. The story was fun, lighthearted at times, and very poignant. Deep truths about forgiveness linger in the pages and seep into your mind/heart. I fell in love with Ty, the hero of this story! A definite MUST READ!!

This is my most favorite book by Becky Wade. The story of Celia and Ty who married in Vegas and broke up the next day. Celia got pregnant and didn't told Ty. This story is when Ty finds out and forming a relationship with his daughter and Celia. Both walked away from God during their broken relationship and now they want to trust God for them to have relationship again. This book is about forgiveness and how we can trust again. A great read!!

Since this isn't a review copy (I won it) I am not going to go into a ton as I usually would, but I would like to say a few thoughts.
I was really disappointed in this book. I was expecting a good, Christian romance. Clean. It wasn't that though, at all. I know this may sound severe, but I am so sick of 'sex-scenes' no matter how 'Christian' they are. This book was pretty much all about Ty and Celia's physical attraction to each other, and all about kissing and when they could be physically together. There were crude comments made by both, and "harmless kisses" as they called it, but were descriptive make-out scenes in my opinion.
I was also upset about the fact that though this is a Christian book, the characters took God's name in vain several times. Yes, the forgiveness message was a good one, but the other stuff really overshadowed that for me. I just recently wrote a review on another book that had similar innapropriate content and shared how I was convicted by God about the verse that says "Whatever is pure, whatever is noble...think on these things" and this book didn't seem thus for me.
I can say I was really bummed, because Becky Wade definitey has talent in her writing. This book just wasn't for me.

Becky Wade has a true gift with writing dialogue! Each page is filled with characters that you fall in love with and truly miss when you finish reading one of her books. I finished this book in the wee morning hours and cant help but want to sit back down and re read it. I love how Wade is a master at writing quick wit, humorous banter between main characters, and throwing in a twist-right when you think you have the story all figured out. Who can resist a story that makes them chuckle out loud and tear up with happiness?! I highly recommend this book. Its one of my personal favorites! The only problem with reading this book is this; you might have a sudden urge to run out and purchase a pair of cowboy boots for your self:)

I really liked this book. When I started to read I was hoping it would go the way it did. I love the main characters in this book because the were flawed. They made some huge mistakes in there life and God put on their heart to forgive. Forgiveness is a hard thing to do when the circumstance is hard to forgive. Both characters had to do what was best for the child and it was nice to see them doing so. We sometimes forget to do that esp in this day and age. I think this book did it right. Sexual content, replied but none written of. A save read for those like me who hate to much sexual content. Highly recommend it!!

Becky Wade is back!!! Not that she really went anywhere—on the contrary, she’s been swimming in the deep end of success ever since her fantastic debut, My Stubborn Heart, splashed into bookstores in 2012. But I admit, her second book, Undeniably Yours, had a more reserved feel for me, as if she realized just how big a wave she’d caused in the CBA community pool, and decided to climb daintily down the steps at the shallow end. But Meant to Be Mine is a carefree cannonball off the high dive! If anyone is not in love with bull riding and baking and Disney princesses and cowboy boots by the end of this book, then I suspect they’ve been lobotomized. ‘Cause all I can say is, if the Texan I once dated had been one-hundredth as charming as Ty Porter, I’d no longer be a spinster. :-)

This was really, really good! I loved the romance, the wit, the deep stuff, and the unique aspect of a married-but-not-so-married couple finding their way back to each other. Becky Wade always creates such great characters and stories that leave you smiling, sighing happily, and also pondering about the truths she hits in her books. Loved it!

Addie stole the show!
Ty and Celia might be the main characters in the story but their little girl stole the show!! She was very sweet and precocious and I loved her Princess obsession. My granddaughter is five too and she is totally over the moon for princesses and acts the same way. I also liked how the heroine made them champions of great causes too and not just princesses and she added that to the end of her stories.
But let's move on to Ty. He was so hard hard hard to like. Yes he was a handsome, flirty, character but it felt fake to me. And what he did in Vegas was so unforgivable and heartbreaking it was awful.And even after he looked Celia up after five years he still kept thinking he loved Tawney!! After he knew about his daughter, after he had been saying all this stuff to Celia and he still wants Tawney! Oh I wanted to throw my book across the room. He hadn't kissed or looked at another woman for five years because he thought that was 'honorable' but he really wasn't honorable to me. I was glad he was celibate but he was still in love with someone else. So who was celibate for? Tawney or Celia? I mean his silly banter with Celia was very cute. I loved their back and forth and their nicknames but I didn't trust him at all. I just knew he would go back to Tawney.
And Celia was wonderful. I loved how she kept being strong in the face of that big hunk of temptation and that she didn't waiver from her position on him. He hurt her deeply and yet he still loved the other woman in spite of all the flirting and praise he lavished on the heroine. She'd been there, done that and got the t-shirt. There was some pretty strong temptation in her path, and I loved that she stayed strong.
The ending again was very sweet and so of course I loved the book. Even with my 'Ty' reservations, it ended with the whole 'aah' experience I love.

I want to give this book 10 stars. Every time I read a Becky Wade novel, I think it's the best, then the next gets better. This one is THE best!!
Over 5 years ago, Celia married Ty Porter on the spur of the moment in Las Vegas. She suspected he didn't really mean it but she had loved him since high school, all through college and she wanted this marriage. The next morning Ty told her he loved someone else. Celia is now the owner of the most broken heart imaginable. It gets worse, though, when she discovers she is pregnant from that one night.
Celia moves to Oregon to raise her child and never speaks to Ty again. Until one day he finds her and apologizes for that night long ago. Then he finds out about his daughter.
No spoilers here. Celia has made a life for herself and Ty has interrupted that life and brought all the hurt to the surface again. How in the world is she supposed to cope? She has absolutely no place for God in her life. After all, He let her down, too, didn't He? She's got this. She can handle her own life, doesn't need help from Ty Porter or God or anybody else!
Ty is a professional bull rider and world champion. He knows how to handle his life, too. So why are they both so miserable?
Becky Wade writes so convincingly that I felt part of the story. Sort of like I was a fly on the wall during the whole book. These folks hurt, feel happy, and want the best for their lives, but they just can't find it.
Celia has a huge hole in her heart and life. What is wrong? Why can't she get rid of this?
Becky Wade has written a book that draws the reader to it constantly. I had to force myself to put it down to do necessary things like make supper and run errands. But it was like a drug, pulling and tugging me back. I stayed up late to finish it because I just could not wait another day!
Ty and Celia are great characters. They taunt one another with humor and insults that are not really insults. Can they ever come together and make a relationship work? Both have serious issues that desperately need to be fixed. Will they be too proud to allow God to work in their lives?
That's the crux, right there. This book speaks to the Christian who holds onto past hurts and unforgiveness and refuses to allow the cleansing grace of God wash us clean.
It also speaks to us who worry and fear what the next day holds. We can't ever be safe in this world from what will happen in the future. Never. We can't control life and make it happen the way we want. Not possible. But we serve a God who holds the future in His hands and He wants the best for His children. AND whatever happens in our lives, He will be there to help us get through it.
This book ministered to me because I am one of those worriers who sometimes let fear rule in my heart. I've learned a lesson from Becky Wade's book.
The interaction between Ty and Celia was wonderful. I loved their sparrings. And the romance was wonderful without being too much. I've known a Christian writer or two who push the envelope way too far. I don't want that in a novel of faith. Meant To Be Mine was perfect.
Seriously, this is a wonderful book and I just want to muse on it a while before I pick up another one. I'm already hungry for the next in the Porter family series. Write fast, Becky Wade.

Oh.My.Word! My emotions immediately got tangled up in this book when Ty breaks Celia's heart in the second chapter! You want to really dislike him through out the rest of the book but he does have some really good qualities despite the fact that he's a moron when it comes to Tawny. (Thank you, Becky Wade, for giving the other girl a name I don't like - it makes disliking her even easier..LOL)
I adored Celia and Addie! Celia has done everything she can to make a good life for her daughter without apparently any help from her family (except Uncle Donny who I also really liked). She's strong and determined and a really good baker! :) And Addie really is a precious little princess! No wonder Ty finds himself captivated by these two when he re-enters their lives.
I love the sizzle between Celia and Ty as well as their back and forth banter. I also liked the journey they both take to God and forgiveness. Celia has to work through a huge wall of dis-trust because of Ty's actions the morning after they got married. And Ty has lived with the guilt of what he did so long that he still thinks he's unworthy of forgiveness or God. Thank God none of us are beyond God and forgiveness!
This book was better then the first (IMO) and I look forward to reading about Jake! I can't wait to see how she softens him up. :)

Oh my goodness, I loved this story!!! I'd heard a lot about Ty Porter and had high expectations of this fella. Well, I have to admit, I wasn't impressed by him at the start of the story. He was honestly on my last nerve. hahahaha Don't you love when an author can rile you up?
Now, Celia on the other hand, I was totally on her team. Did she make a mistake? Yes, was it understandable? Indeed. Ty, the showboat, believed he could get a woman to melt into a puddle every time he walked into a room, and Celia wasn't having any part of it. Giving that fictitious gal a virtual high 5.
If you enjoy a book with exceptional banter, look no further. These two have it in spades!! Celia dished it back to Ty without missing a beat. Not only do they have banter they have chemistry. You want a kissing scene that will have you melting? You will find it here. This is where I finally agreed that Ty was swoon worthy! And it's probably when they became one of my all time favorite couples.
The aspect that I enjoyed about this story is that they're already married so their shenanigans are fun to "watch". I also love how the Porter family supports each other. They rally when needed and it's all hands on deck. I know I'm only on book two, but this is definitely going to be one of my all time favorite series and one of my favorite families!
Now, I wasn't a huge fan of the narrator when she did the Rachel Dylan stories, but I liked her here. Not sure what the difference is here, but I liked her in this one.

Ty, the showboat, believed he could get a woman to melt into a puddle every time he walked into a room, and Celia wasn't having any part of it. Giving that fictitious gal a virtual high 5.
If you enjoy a book with exceptional banter, look no further. These two have it in spades!! Celia dished it back to Ty without missing a beat. Not only do they have banter they have chemistry. You want a kissing scene that will have you melting? You will find it here. This is where I finally agreed that Ty was swoon worthy! And it's probably when they became one of my all time favorite couples.
The aspect that I enjoyed about this story is that they're already married so their shenanigans are fun to "watch". I also love how the Porter family supports each other. They rally when needed and it's all hands on deck. I know I'm only on book two, but this is definitely going to be one of my all time favorite series and one of my favorite families!
Now, I wasn't a huge fan of the narrator when she did the Rachel Dylan stories, but I liked her here. Not sure what the difference is here, but I liked her in this one.

I enjoyed these characters and their arcs, their chemistry, the laugh out loud funny writing style, the setting and extended family. I wasn't sure about a couple parts and there was a tiny side show love triangle that was supposed to up the tension but was mostly unnecessary.

*happy sigh* This is such a delightful story! I have no earthly idea why I waited so long to read it, but I could shake myself. Because once I started it, I very quickly was hooked in and unable to stop reading until the very last page! Celia and Ty have such awesome chemistry and watching them attempt to deny the inevitable is too cute. Seriously, I could NOT stop grinning while reading this. Those two are so entirely stubborn! Of course, it’s perfectly understandable from Celia’s point of view, broken trust is hard to rebuild. And Ty? He was a bit frustrating for a good portion of the first half of the story, but once he finally got his head on straight, oh my! I don’t know how Celia was able to resist him for so long! ;) I hadn’t read one of Ms. Wade’s books for a while and had forgotten how utterly engrossing they are. And just how good she is at writing a swoony romance! This is one book that I am very happy that I have on my shelf and I know it’ll get lots of rereading. If you haven’t read it yet, stop being a goober and go read it now! :D

Celia Park has loved Ty Porter since high school. When they meet again after college something thrilling happens between them and they end up marrying in a Las Vegas wedding chapel. The next morning Ty tells Celia that their marriage was a mistake and that he cannot be her husband. Celia is heartbroken and as she leaves their hotel room, she tells Ty that she will never forgive him and that she does not want to see him again.
This book starts with a marriage proposal. Now, you might think “What’s wrong with that?” Nothing. Nothing at all. It just seems strange because of how Ty proposes to Celia.
“If you roll a seven, sweet one, I’ll take it as a sign. We’ll get hitched tonight, and you’ll be stuck with me for life.”
Not the best proposal in the world but… goodness! When you read this words after reading the description of Ty Porter’s eyes and smile, I bet every girl would accept it! And thanks to this rash proposal, you can easily understand what kind of man this Ty Porter is. Confident, strong-willed, daring and, most of all, crazy! Celia knows that, but she cannot help herself. She has loved him her whole life and the temptation to become Mrs. Porter is too strong to refuse Ty's proposal. Is there anything wrong about marrying the man you love? No, as long as he loves you back.
The only thing that remains of that hasty marriage is a sweet little girl that Celia keeps hidden from Ty, a way to punish him for his past behaviour. Celia hates Ty because of what he did and because, in her opinion, Ty ruined her life. Deep down, though, she knows that her life could not be happier without her little daughter, and all she needs to understand it is a long, sincere conversation with God.
While I was reading this story I thought that Ty was the typical guy who likes to date girls and breaks their hearts by making foolish decisions, without considering the girls’ feelings. And I kept thinking that till the moment where he meets his daughter, Addie. From that moment on, I could see two men. The sweet, loving father who does anything to make his little girl happy, and the teasing guy who desperately tries to earn Celia’s forgiveness with nice and lovely gestures. What I loved was the fact that these two men, so different from each other, represent two halves of the same man who slowly starts to know himself and focus on his family, because he sees how his life needed them to be complete. At first readers may think that his behaviour is just a mask to simply get what he wants, but in the end they will discover a great man, able to understand his mistakes and make amends. A man who apparently changes but actually I had a feeling he had always been that wonderful. He just needed to show his true nature through his love for Celia and their daughter.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It made me smile but also reflect on the importance of every decision we make and how they can influence our life. In addition, I was exceedingly happy to meet again the Porter family and especially Jake. As I already said in my review of Undeniably Yours, his mysterious past intrigues me a lot and I cannot wait to read more about him. I would recommend this book to those who love reading about life changing love stories.

"I'm in love with someone else." Yep. Those six words are a death knell in every romance fan's heart. They're usually accompanied by the reader's audible gasp and a "noooooooooo" ... which are then joined by odd looks from whomever happens to be around said reader. (Don't ask me how I know this. I just do.) These are the same six words that Ty Porter and Celia Park have to overcome in "Meant to be Mine". Well, that and a pint-sized teal-glasses-and-pink-cowboy-boots-wearing scene stealer named Addie. :)
Don't tell anyone (especially Bo)... but Ty's my favorite! Cocky, flirty, charming, dimpled, cowboy Ty. There were several times while reading that I wanted to jerk a knot in him, but who am I kidding? If I were ever to get close enough for knot-jerking, I would probably just end up grinning at him like a dope instead. He has that way about him.
Things I loved: Ty learning about princesses, Celia trying and failing to resist his charms, their banter, Ty telling Addie a bedtime story for the first time (FAVE scene in the book! SO cute! "It was good for your first try."), Celia's return to God - the simplicity and sweetness of it, Celia's true-to-life battle with forgiving Ty ("She shut the Bible and dashed into the pantry to alphabetize her spices. I absolutely devoured this story! It was amazing. From beginning to end, I was rooting for Celia and Ty. I loved Addie and it was nice getting to reconnect with Meg, Bo, and Jake (I can't wait to read his story!). Being back in Holley, Texas was like putting on a comfortable pair of jeans and worn in cowboy boots. The story flowed effortlessly and kept me up late into the night to finish. I suggested this book for my library's ebook collection on a whim, not sure if I'd spend the money on it myself. This week, I got an email saying they'd purchased the title and I could check it out at any time. I'd read the whole thing within the next four hours! Solid 4.5 stars. I loved how both husband and wife thought everything was over, only to find themselves increasingly intrigued by each other when thrown together forcibly. Great story!

I thought this book was so good! I wish this book were a movie so it can go to the masses, lol. Becky Wade does a great job of writing a heart warming story with realistic characters. I'm really enjoying The Porter Family series so far!

For me, there’s a difference between swooning over the main guy and getting that weird-almost-like-butterflies-and-like-eating-way-too-much-sugar in your stomach. The latter is just something I’m not comfortable reading at my age. I also felt like this at “My Stubborn Heart” by the same author…”Meant to Be Mine” reminded me of a bigger, thicker and more detailed Love Inspired Book—and it had a Texas-accented cowboy!

This was a disappointing read for me. For a contemporary Christian fiction book, I struggled with many of the details of the story. Gambling, drinking, taking prescription medications for reasons other than their intended use, cursing (although no foul language is directly used within the book), having a girlfriend while married to another woman, and using your money to wheel and deal to get what you want are all attributes that I do not find appealing, especially in a Christian. Many readers, as well as characters in the book, have gone crazy about the physical appearance of Ty Porter. The heart has so much more to offer than the physical appearance, and I was disappointed that the author chose to focus so heavily on physical looks. Even right up through the last chapters, there were many things going on that involved the above mentioned activities. I would much rather have seen the characters finding freedom through Christ from these areas in their life than continuing to participate in some of them. This was a slow and difficult read for me. I often found myself laying it down for a day or two and not wanting to pick it back up. I am glad I finished the book so I could finally get the big picture.
I do think the book overall has a very good storyline. A good attempt was made by the author for redemption in the lives of the characters, but it came much later in the book than I would have preferred. I think the story felt rushed to completion. Forgiveness and reestablishing trust were the spiritual themes expressed within the story. I especially liked Meg and Bo and the influence they were in Celia’s life, as well as the friendship Meg showed to Celia.

Oh my goodness this is the second book I have read by Becky Wade and they just keep getting better. I really loved Undeniably Yours novel #1 , and Meant to Be Mine novel #2. Becky Wade has got her another winner. Let me tell you when you start to read Meant to Be Mine you do not want to put it down till you read the last page and the last word.
You will meet again some of the same characters that are in Undeniably Yours. You will fall in love with Ty and Celia and most of the character, well most of them. I laughed and cried while reading this novel. Ty Porter is a pro bull rider cowboy and the ladies love him. To be a pro bull rider has always been Ty's dream. Celia Park and Ty has known each other in high school and college. Celia has always had a thing for Ty. After college they run into each other again at a rodeo in Las Vegas and the next thing you know they ends up at a Wedding Chapel. Now the next morning Ty is having second thoughts . He wants to marry a girl back in his home town Texas. Celia is not to happy. They go their separate ways. Ty rides bulls and is out of town most of the time. After Five and a half years later Celia had dreams of her own, but they had to be put on hold. She is trying to make a living for her and her daughter that she loves very much. Celia has lost her faith in God. There is a lot of forgiveness in Meant to Be Mine. I love the way Becky Wade brings God into her novels. I am going back and read Ms. Wade's first novel My Stubborn Heart and want and hope for book #3 .

I was surprised by how much I loved this book! The secret baby theme isn't my favorite, but the author was so skilled in portraying the complex emotions of the characters, I was immediately drawn in and couldn't put the book down! The characters' personalities were unique and vivid- I had no trouble picturing them in my mind. Ty and Celia were easy to like, in spite of their flaws or shortcomings. I think this is because they both are trying to make the best of their circumstances and improve as people. The chemistry between them is off the charts, and there's something about restrained passion that makes the tension drive the story forward. The supporting characters in the novel are well-written as well; they feel just as important to the story as Ty and Celia.
The themes of sacrifice and forgiveness are so profound in the novel. Because I could really feel the emotions of the characters (even had a tear in my eye more than once...) their emotional journey felt so real. After reading the prologue, you won't blame Celia for never wanting to forgive Ty. However, as he does everything he can to redeem himself, she grows more conflicted, and they both learn to turn to God to find peace and resolution.
I definitely recommend this book and can't wait to read the rest of her books!

This was my first Becky Wade romance, but not my last! Meant to be Mine started out with a wedding, not at the right place but with the right guy OR at least the heroine thought so at the time. In the morning light, everything unravels.
Surprise babies are a staple of romance fiction but that doesn't mean that they ever lose their appeal. After all, a baby changes EVERYTHING--as anyone who has become a parent knows.
And this unexpected baby becomes a little girl Addie about to enter kindergarten--before the daddy ever finds out that she's been born.
Sometimes I think that the heroes in stories that are so angry that no one told them about the baby don't ring true. There are so many dead-beat dads in this world. But Ty Porter is not one. He was totally believable as a man who wanted to know his child. Well done, Becky.
I love the other characters especially Celia's surfer uncle and his mishaps trying to find his Ms. Right.
The highest compliment I can pay a book is that I've already read it again. And Meant to be Mine is one of those!

This is my favourite book of Becky Wade... Oh my how much did I enjoy reading this one.. I am an absolute fan of stories where husband comes back to win his wife .. I have enjoyed this One so much... I'm just thinking about it all the time... Best faith content, realistic, wonderful .. such a great read.
I enjoyed this read and romance so much, I was laughing out most of the time, there are a few of my favorite scenes that I always like to go back and read... I don't want give away any spoilers... So y'all if you haven't read it then go read it

I enjoyed this read and romance so much, I was laughing out most of the time, there are a few of my favorite scenes that I always like to go back and read... I don't want give away any spoilers... So y'all if you haven't read it then go read it

This was hands down my favorite Becky Wade novel to date. She plunked me into small-town Texas and made me love the community as if I were part of it.
I loved the spunky heroine, Celia, and her sweet relationship with her daughter, Addie--a precious and well-written five year old. And I laughed out loud at Celia's princess stories.
The chemistry between Celia and Ty sizzles on every page with sharp, witty banter and palpitate with romantic tension. Expect heart flutters and goosebumps.
Not fluff at all, Wade's theme of forgiveness weaves through the pages bringing depth and tenderness to a story of two people who've hurt and been hurt.

What I Loved...
Ty Porter, Ty Porter and Ty Porter. Becky did an awesome job with his character. He turned out to be one of my fave heroes of any book.
I am swoon fan, as I am sure most of us are and this book doesn't disappoint. Get your awwws ready.
Bo (Undeniably Yours) makes an appearance...Yay!
What I Liked...
To be honest I can't think of anything I didn't like. I know that is a bold statement and even a broad one but I would end up telling the whole story if I had to tell you everything I did like.
