A Promise Kept is certainly not the first book I've read by Robin Lee Hatcher. Robin is a longtime friend but that has nothing to do with the fact--that I LOVED THIS BOOK! The heroine is so honest in her emotions, so hurt by a love that went so wrong. Her moving into her great aunt Emma's house in King's Meadow, Idaho, changes her life in the same way that finding and reading Aunt Emma's journal does. The story of Aunt Emma's love and life intertwined with Allison's struggle to regain her equilibrium after her divorce make for a rich story. And the hero, her alcoholic husband, is believable as well. Well done, Ms. Hatcher! I loved the people of King's Meadow and look forward to more stories there!
