First I must tell you that I am a longtime friend of Lenora Worth but that doesn't mean I can't express my assessment of An April Bride.
Lenora writes in a clear voice that is as Southern as she is. The story of Stella and Marshall took me into a world I don't know. Stella's home is called Flower Bend and it's near the mighty Mississippi River. Lenora's descriptions of the river, the beautiful gardens, and Stella's tender emotions enveloped me.
It always surprises me that Lenora can write suspense novels that make me grit my teeth with their fast pace and danger and then she can write a love story that gently takes me on a journey of pain, love and restoration.
