My husband and I were listening to Our Daily Bread’s June 19th devotional this morning and they mentioned a woman I’d never heard of\u00a0Phillis Wheatley. I looked her up on Britiannica and here’s her facts:

Lyn here~Evidently Phyllis was only 7 years old when she was kidnapped in Africa and sold to the Wheatley family in Boston who who taught her how to read and write and encouraged her to write poetry. YOU KNOW FACT IS ALWAYS MORE AMAMZING THAN FICTION! That’s why I liked to write my historical novels with authentic history.<\/p>\n
