Here’s a poem by a reader of this blog. I thought this was very descriptive and meaningful. Enjoy!–Lyn<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Many Voices Of God<\/p>\n

In the darkest hour of night
\nwith no one else around,
\na lone chirping cricket
\ncreates the only sound.<\/p>\n

No, wait…\u00a0 listen closely…
\nI can hear a ticking clock
\n…it can be a real comfort…
\nthat steady Tick…Tock!<\/p>\n

Do you hear the rhythm?
\nLike the sound of a beating heart,
\nthe steady swinging pendulum
\nkeeps my courage from coming apart!<\/p>\n

Now in the nearby woods
\nI hear the yipping song of coyotes*
\n…there’s probably only two or three,
\nbut it sounds like a dozen throats!<\/p>\n

Listen!\u00a0\u00a0 I hear other voices
\n…there’s a hoot owl…now, a frog!
\nAnd, even farther away, there’s
\nthe neighbor’s barking dog!<\/p>\n

These remind me even now
\nI’m not really here alone
\n…even in the darkness of night,
\nGod still sees me from His throne!<\/p>\n

So even a chirping cricket
\nor the ticking of a clock,
\ncan remind me of His presence
\n…proving alone…I am not!<\/p>\n

And for even further evidence,
\nGod has sent the night creatures’ songs!
\nAll reminders that His children
\nare never, ever, ever, really alone!<\/p>\n
