One of the authors asked the readers&#8211;How did you meet your husband or true love? It seemed an appropriate question for that event. Two readers, however, responded that they were single and were happy to be. And I thought-YES! I know that it\u2019s harder being single on a day when the world (our world) celebrates couples but being single can be a positive choice. I\u2019d rather to happily single than unhappily married, know what I mean? I\u2019m sure you do.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>I met my husband at church when we were in our mid-twenties and have been together for over forty years. I feel blessed because he has proven to be a good friend and a good father to our kids and he\u2019s got a romantic soul&#8211;twice a year. On Valentine\u2019s Day and our anniversary. I mean he was an electrical engineer&#8211;all right? Romance is a stretch for him! \ud83d\ude42 So I hope whether single or \u201ccoupled\u201d that you enjoy Valentine\u2019s Day.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Fun Fact:Necco Sweethearts \u2014 a.k.a. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goodhousekeeping.com\/holidays\/valentines-day-ideas\/a26945\/candy-heart-facts\/\">conversation hearts<\/a> \u2014 were invented in 1866. Each box has approximately 45 sayings \u2014 including &#8220;True Love,&#8221; &#8220;Hug Me,&#8221; and &#8220;You Rock&#8221; \u2014 but you can <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goodhousekeeping.com\/holidays\/valentines-day-ideas\/g1540\/real-life-conversation-hearts\/\">personalize your own<\/a>, too.
