He and Paul and Della were on the case around the clock not only to clear their client but Perry himself! What a twist. This is an intensely detailed case so prepare to concentrate!

Some Buried Caesar by Rex Stout

This is an early Nero novel. I always wondered where and how Archie and Miss Lily Rowe got together. This is it. I thought the build up to the crime was a bit slow but people wanted more of that 50+ years ago. After all, Mr. Stout passed in the 70’s. Anyway there were a lot of VERY INTERESTING people and Nero was really bored or he would’t have stayed out in the country (Caesar is a prize bull) if he hadn’t come for an orchid show and ended up in the middle of a murder or two. I enjoyed it after the slow start.

I loved the Perry Mason series in the 50’s and 60’s and the ones in the early 90’s where we saw the “mature” Mason and Della but not Paul, he’d passed. Anyway hope you will try one of Erle Stanley Gardner’s books. He holds the title in the 20th for the author who sold THE MOST BOOKS!–Lyn
