Author Alllie Pleiter Shares You Never Know How Strong You Can Be… — 11 Comments

  1. I was drawn to this story by the care the fireman gives to the little boy in drawing him in. I would like to read this book. Please enter me in the drawing.

  2. The LI authors have been a tremendous source of support for me. I feel like my son has “Aunties” all over the world! I’m glad they’ve rallied to support you as a mom, as well.

  3. It is very difficult to face that kind of challenge without friends and family around, isn’t it? It’s the whole concept behind the Ronald McDonald House (which is where we stayed for many of the nights during my son’s five month treatment). I wish they had something like it for families of adult patients, too! The cover is wonderful, isn’t it?

  4. You had me at the title, but knowing the depth of experience from which you write makes it all that more meaningful. So glad to hear your son is doing well and so grateful to the praying LI authors for my own son.

  5. love the look of this book and Im glad your son is well know.
I think when mum broke her leg and the challanges of spending 12 days in the city with her in the accommodation there. I found it hard being isolated I didn’t have a mobile and just the pay phone which often was being used by students who used our floors only 2 phones. At home I have the support in the city I had a couple of friends but basically it was me alone. I was only there 12 days but I certainly feel for people who have to say so much longer. One lady and her child had been there 3 months with her partner from another state so no support at all besides the people there. I think you find a strength to keep going and knowing others were praying sure helps.

  6. Thanks, Julie. It was really wonderful to share such a powerful sentiment with my readers. I’m thinking about finding a sign and hanging it in my own home. Anyone else have a sign like that in their home?

  7. Allie, I figured that sign had a personal reason. Your creative spirit and life-changing experience combined to make a wonderful story. No need to put me in the drawing. You know I loved Falling for a Fireman. 😉

    Peace, Julie
