  2. Well, I can’t just put Texas, because parts of it are still having snow. But here in Pasadena, Tx. (near Houston) We are having Spring. We have had several cool spells, giving us a longer Spring than usual. Seems we have hot weather 3/4th of the year. Almost can’t be out in the heat very long lately or it makes me nauseous. I do get cold mostly tho, because I get too cool having to use the A/C. And, when I go into the resturants and stores. So, always carrying a sweater. My grandmother’s name was also Emma, and second name of an older sister. My husband was in WWll and they took over Hitler’s mother’s home, The batttalion I guess. Anyway he said the mother and sister were real nice. said they didn’t really like what was happening and couldn’t be blamed for what Hitler did. He even had pictures of him and the sister. This was before we married. Your grandmother sounds like a great woman. I would like to win this book. Have tried before.

  3. This looks like a great story I would love to read. To answer the question, spring is here. I am in Florida and its 82 degrees today.

  4. Thanks for dropping by, Andrew. And Connie, hope you write many more books!

  5. Hi Emma–That’s wonderful. My daughter’s middle name is Emma, after my grandmother, and I just read somewhere that Emma is 2013’s most popular name for a girl. I hope you’ll read Angel Falls and let me know what you think of Regina!

  6. This sounds like such a wonderful story. I have a few of those strong women in my ancestry and I am very proud of the legacy that they have left me. Oh! And my grandmother’s name was Emma (I am named for her). She was a strong woman and I loved her dearly.

  7. Actually, Connie – I think if it weren’t for those 2 or 3 days in February, we’d never know the difference between spring & fall here!! (P.S. I’m just outside of Clearwater.)

  8. Hi Lyn, Thanks so much for the chance to be your guest today. Such fun to talk a bit about my amazing grandmother and her legacy of strength! BTW, Spring is here in Florida–achoo!–allergies kicking in, big time.
