  1. I can appreciate your story saying you didn’t get through 5 months you got through one day at a time. It makes sense and is what alot have to do. To look at a time frame say 5 months it would be overwhelming but taking one day at time its more achievable. Thanks for sharing and how is your son now?
I cant wait to read this book its on my soon to be ordered order which I must do this weekend.

  2. Allie,
I am so pleased to hear your son’s good news. Of course as a mom, it’s your good news too. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Seeing the struggles others have overcome helps us face the struggles in our own lives.
Prayers of praise for your son’s healing and for your gift of writing.
    Blessings to you,
    Shirley

  3. Julie, April, and Paula-
Thanks for the kind words. Julie, it really is good just to do this life one day at a time, isn’t it? It’s all any of us are really given–tough times or not. April, so glad you liked the story. All of us need His great love. Paula, I’ve come to love KY over my five book “Kentucky Corners” series I finished up last year. Every time I come back I find new adventures and new affections. Thanks to all of you!
    Allie

  4. Oh Allie you are going to be in my neck of the woods, well where I came from anyway. I am a Ky gal born and bred. Found myself in Ga after I married a sailor. Gee it is so good to read your story and the challanges you went trough, I am so happy that your son is better now and you got tru the valley you had to walk with him.
We never what we can do until we have to do it, but I know I will need Jesus beside me when I do. Your book “Yukon Wedding” sounds like my kind of reading and I will be looking for it.
    Thanks for sharing your story
    Enjoy your Ky trip
    Paula

  6. Thanks for having me! I’m on the road today (heading to the Southern Kentucky Book Fest and Writers Conference in Bowling Green KY), but I’ll try to check in as often as I can. If you’re near Bowling Green, come say hi and comment face-to-face at Saturday’s Book Fest at the Knicely Center!

  7. Allie, I had a license plate for years with “Mt 6:33-34” on it. That and Jeremiah 29:11 keep me going when times have been tough. Thank you for continuing to share your gift for heart and faith filled romance while undergoing your own personal struggles.

    Peace and continued prayers, Julie
