Lyn Reviews Jennifer Rodewald’s Lake Shore Wandering
Lake Shore Wandering by Jennifer Rodewald
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book was not really what I was expecting. The set up was very different than usual. We have a city slicker hero, who is out to do the heroine wrong in the mountains of Montana. And the heroine’s brother is in on it. I remember driving through Wyoming in the 70s and seeing signs with the words of population: Three. Coming from the Midwest I was used to small farm towns, but the smallest I ever was at was 150. So this was a trip for me too.
I really enjoyed the story. The characters were very vivid, the conflict real. The heroine made a decision I wouldn’t have made, but then I wasn’t heroine. Anyway, I don’t like cliffhanger endings and usually if I find a book that I’ve read is a cliffhanger ,I never go forward. However, this wasn’t a cliffhanger; it was a something different. So I’m not mad at the author, but I won’t go on and buy the next book until I can get a good deal on kindle points. But I would recommend the story, but expect to have to go onto the next story to get the satisfying ending complete. And there are other intriguing characters and plots so Jennifer Rodewald knows how to “catch’ readers. 🙂
