Time to Talk Cover Models for a New Historical!

It’s time to talk cover models for a New Historical! Journey to Respect, the third novel in my Patriots and Seekers series.  Here are the covers from books one and two

[foogallery id=”8162″]

You see that the covers have a series look. I need a new heroine image for the third book in the series, Journey to Respect. And I’ve chose 3 possibles from Depositphotos.com I need some feedback please. The photos are #1, #2. and #3, starting at the left and moving right.

THIS IS WHAT I NEED–

  • Which model draws you to keep looking at her?

  • Which model makes you wonder about her?

  • Which model would “fit” the series look (above)?

Please leave a comment and as before, I will do a drawing for one commenter to win a copy of the new ebook when it comes out and a $10 amazon gift card. So please weigh in and maybe win! I need your help.–Lyn

PS. If you hover your cursor over the photo and then click the + sign, the image will enlarge.

  1. Amy H. says:

The middle one gets my for number 2. I think she fits the look of the other models the best but I do admit that I might look at model one the most.

  2. Joyce Christensen says:

    2 looks thoughtful and determined.
3 looks like she could be planning revenge.

  3. Model #1 is the most captivating to me because of her intense gaze, but I think model #2 fits with the series more because her look is more introspective.

  4. Tamara Hauser says:

Model #2 has the same look and feel as the models in your first 2 books. Model #1 looks too modern, she should be on a contemporary romance and model #3 looks more like a mystery or thriller model with the deeper shadows around her and the look on her face.

  5. Shirley Worley says:

I vote for #2 to keep the same feel as the covers from book one and two. However, I am also drawn to pic #1, as she immediately struck me as someone out of a historical novel.

  6. Anne says:

I like the model in the first photo. Most voted the #2 but I think #1 is deeper and suits the book.

  7. Catherine says:

#2 They all are curious but she fits most closely with your first two.

  8. Jo-Ann Verlik says:

My choice is #2. She appears to have a choice to make and seeing her hand run through her hair tells me it is going to be a difficult one.

  9. Karen S. says:

I like number two. She seems mysterious and Id like to learn more about her. She also fits the other covers most, in my opinion.

  10. Audrey Rich says:

Middle one but I like the first one as well.

  11. Joyce Stewart says:

It has to be #3. The title is “Journey to Respect” and she has a hurt in her eyes and yet a hopeful look, like a person with something maybe going to go right for a change.

  12. Natalya Lakhno says:

Hm, #2 has the story to tell and #3 is very intriguing.
So my number one is #2 🙂

  13. Sue Kirby says:

I like number 2, she looks very interesting!!

  14. GladysMP says:

I came here to vote for Number 2 and see that the first two voters agree with my decision. That model just has an inviting look about her. I didn’t realize that an author is given a choice about which model appears on their book. I learned something here.

    • Lyn Cote says:

If a writer is publishing with a publisher, she has little say about the cover. I am publishing this book myself. I like to do both!

  15. Trixi says:

I think I really like model #2! She seems to “fit” the other book covers quite well in my opinion 🙂

Thanks for letting your readers weigh in, I love when authors do this! And also the giveaway chance.

  16. The image that would attract my “one click” is the third one where the face of the model predominates in the figure. I think it fits more with the previous covers.

  17. Paula says:

I am most intrigued by the darker haired girl in the middle. It seems she is thinking about something.

  18. Glenda says:

Like the middle model best. The first one looks arrogant whereas the middle one has some mystery to her.

  19. My vote is for number 1 because to me she looks more like the model in the first two. She made me wonder what she was pondering.

  20. Lois Leentjes says:

I like the second model. She looks like she’s thinking about someone or some thing and can’t make up her mind.

  21. Alexa Dare says:

The 2nd or middle one seems to fit with the others best and her pose makes her seem intriguing and curious. Great covers!

  22. John Lund says:

    Middle picture gets my vote.
