We Just Want to Have Fun, right? — 13 Comments

  1. We just went to the Oregon coast to Rockaway Beach for 2 nights. One day winds gusting up to 50-60 mph so we decided to walk the beach. That lasted 20 minutes! Lol. Thunder and lightning one night. Saw Munson Falls and went to the Tillamook Creamery. Other plans is to head to CA &!AZ mid February/March by driving from Vancouver WA on down. RV camp along the way. Visit with our son outside of Sacramento and friends along the way. We want to see the Petrified Forest and stand on the corner of Winslow AZ again. In June drive up to AK for the summer to camp/fish/hunt/pick berries and make fireweed jelly etc.
Our 5th grandchild will be in May. It’s a girl! Granddaughter Abby is 13 years old.

  2. This year will be a celebration of life for me.

Currently preparing to hang my first solo show as a featured artist at a historical dinner theater in Virginia. One of my earliest portrait paintings was inspired by your book Chloe and will be featured in the show.
I have been searching for years for the original book that inspired me so much personally, and its beautiful cover which inspired several of my paintings. I want to thank you for featuring characters who are not only strong, but show that positive moral values and behaviors are worthy of aspiration.

Blessings for you and your work in this new year! Katherine

  3. No big plans yet besides getting a tooth out (via iv sedation) I don’t recommend it but am looking forward to it as it has caused lots of issues. But I am staying overnight with my friend who’s cats I babysat. I Get to see Lily again. Shes a sweet cat who also has some fun traits. We are also going to do a little shopping to get (cat food I can’t get here) and other items. I don’t get to the city to shop often and our town doesn’t have a lot of these shops in my town. So this part will be fun.

  4. MY DAUGHTER AND I ARE GOING ON A THREE DAY TRIP TO A SMALL TOWN CASSADAGA FL. 32706, KNOWN AS A STEP BACK IN HISTORY AND ALSO IN THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES. I AM 92, MY DAUGHTER 66, BOTH ON WALKERS BUT LOOKING FORWARD TO AN ADVENTURE!

  5. The last couple of years have been rough. This year we’re hoping to take the camper and go to the beach for a week or so. We like to play putt-putt when we’re at the beach. We also like to go exploring I like to check out the plantations that does tours. We’re also along with my sister and brother in-law go exploring our family history. We go to old graveyards and find the graves of our ancestors. My sister is researching our family history on both parents side. She found we had an great=great etc grandfather Captain Thomas Howard who was a Revolutionary War hero. They have a monument in Columbus, NC. We also like finding waterfalls and hiking up to the good view points. As you can see we’re looking forward to this coming year and doing more exploring.

Hope you have a great year and have some fun.

  6. Being a caregiver makes life hard to plan. If I could plan, I would go to meet the family of my cousin in Pennsylvania who I first discovered searching for my mom’s father’s family through research and DNA. That has been the biggest blessing and we have become the best of friends,.

  7. 1. I will order a favorite magazine in a foreign (to me) issue and try to learn more of the language by reading it.
    2. I will pick a bunch of forsythia when the buds begin to swell and put them in a vase on my kitchen table- soon I have fresh branches of flowers when it’s freezing outside!I
    3. I will make a recipe I have never tried before, something really difficult and I hope amazing.
    4. I will put an affirmation on sticky note and stick it to my water bottle- I’ll think and say it as I go about my day ( I carry water around with me most of the times)
    5. I will remember to count my blessings every day, even if it’s only something simple I can be happy about.
Hi! hope these ideas have a some interest to you, I know they are simple buy maybe fun, too.
