Lyn Reviews Lenora Worth’s I’ll Be Home for Christmas

Hope you’re not completely tired of Christmas–it’s still wintry here! (BOOK GIVEAWAY)

I'll Be Home for ChristmasI’ll Be Home for Christmas by Lenora Worth

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lenora Worth is a friend but that doesn’t mean I can’t like her books! 🙂 I enjoyed this book twice. I read it when it came out originally in 1998 and then picked up a newly reissued larger print version and read it again.

I enjoyed it both times!

Lenora writes a vivid story with interesting and involving characters. I loved the single mom on hard times who takes on a self-sufficient playboy and opens his eyes to the real issues of life, healing and faith.

This book is one of Lenora’s early Love Inspired Romances but it’s easy to see why she is now a New York Times best-selling author1

I think that the best Christmas present I ever got was my grandmother coming to visit us in America for the first and only time ever after we immigrated to America when I was a child. She made me a wooden doll crib that was totally made without nails and she dove-tailed the whole thing together. It was the perfect size for me at that age and fit my bigger dolls. Then she hand made all the covers and bedding. It was so special and made without any electric tools. It was something I have never forgotten even as a grandmother, now, myself!

I would have to say my best Christmas present is my first grandchild. He was actually due on Christmas day but the doctor ended up taking him a week early but I still consider him my best Christmas present so far.
