A New Book Today!
Something Old is New Again!
I have two historical novellas (For Sophia’s Heart and Winter Homecoming) that have been my hidden gems. I decided a new cover and a new title might let them shine. Thus I’ve paired them into a boxed set (the stories are connected by a mother and daughter), titled
UNEXPECTED DESTINATIONS.
And two for a bargain price. Originally the two novellas were priced at $2.99 each,
but the boxed set is $3.99 for both! If you haven’t subscribed to my newsletter, click here to do so and get a chance to win a free copy!

Lyn Reviews an Edie Claire Christmas Mystery-a Fun One!z
Never Mess with Mistletoe by Edie Claire
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Once again Edie Claire gifts us a book filled with quirky yet believable characters and all kinds of fun–and of course, a murder mystery. I had never before heard the work floribundas–the name of Leigh’s mother’s garden club. I loved each character–so engaging and hilarious! And one membere that wants her fellow Floribundas to help her along to her grave and the surprise when she actually ends up there! Of course, Edie Claire’s mystery has layers that must be peeled back to find out who murdered the victim and why. I can’t recommend this highly enough–if you enjoy cozy mysteries with quirky but lovable characters. If you do, this book’s for you!–Lyn
How about Sharing Special Christmas Ornaments?
How about sharing your special Christmas ornaments? We all have them don’t we? The photo above is my cats napping on my lap as I sat in my cozy robe by the Christmas tree. I was thinking about some of the ornaments the other day.
Here are a few who have specail memories for me.
This is my son’s BABY’S FIRST CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT, a present from my sister in law.
Here is my daughter’s first Christmas ornament, a gift from a friend. Do you remember Ziggy?
I cross-stitched this ornament (don’t do that anymore!) It reminds me of my husband and I when we first married–except for the top hat–he never wore one of those!
Here is another of my cross-stitched ornaments. I made this for my daughter who loves cats as much or more than I do and it is stitched with her nickname, Mimi.
This is special to me because I bought it the last time I went to Disney World and I lost a friend soon after.
So those are my special Christmas ornaments. Would you like to tell us about one that is special to you? There might be a drawing for an ebook. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR KIN :-)–Lyn
Looking Ahead to 2019!
Above is a photo of a place that my dh and I love to visit in the summer. It’s a 3 hour drive to Lake Superior but we love the rocky coast of the Apostle Islands and I WANT TO GET THERE THIS SUMMER! SO?
I ceased many years ago with the resolution lists! But I would love to hear from you about what good news or happy plans you have for 2019. Going on a cruise to celebrate something? A new baby or grand baby expected? Any weddings? Whatever. Please share. You never know I might be drawing names for a prize. ‘-)–Lyn
Lyn Reviews Zara Keane’s The Postman Always Dies Twice
The Postman Always Dies Twice by Zara Keane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I love Zara Keane’s titles-twists on old movies that I watched after 10 p.m. on black and white TV’s. Oh, dear that shows my age–however, I didn’t see it at the theater in black and white when it was brand new-Whew! I’m young again! Anyway no one was very unhappy to see the Whisper Island (Ireland) postman end up dead. But is it really him? Maggie Doyle has her hands full with her Guarda boyfriend Liam, his lazy boss who hates her, her family and other quirky island folk. If you want a fun mystery, a bit racy at times but all good fun–THIS COZY is for you!–Lyn

In Time for the Holidays–Crockpot Stuffing Recipe

Autumn has given way to winter here in the northwoods of Wisconsin and I’m preparing to have family and friends over for Thanksgiving. MY HUSBAND LOVES DRESSING OR STUFFING. In order to have enough, I found this recipe for Crockpot Stuffing. Here’s a blog from a few years ago with that recipe and another by Amish author frend Marta Perry. Hope this comes in handy. Happy Thanksgiving!!–Lyn

Lyn Asks A Timely Question–You Could Win a Free Ebook–Why not try?
The above photo is taken from my front porch on a November morning. The dawn had cast a fiery copper light onto the trees across the frozen lake. So far this year the lake is still liquid and blue but who knows when the skim of ice will begin to move over the surface and become like glass?
I’ve shared a photo with you and would like you to share with me. Every commenter will be entered into a drawing for copies of an ebook of mine. I don’t know how many I’ll give. It depends on the comments so please share more than one word. I’m really itnerested in you and your holiday.
HERE’S THE TOPIC:
Will you be cooking Thanksgiving or going to friends or family? Will you be traveling? And what’s your family favorite food or tradition for Thanksgiving?
THIS WILL STAY OPEN TILL DEC 1ST. Please share on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Thanks-Lyn
